Dr Perera has been extensively involved in research since his graduation from medical school in 1975. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and he has presented his scientific findings at a number of conferences in Australia and around the world.
In addition, Dr Perera takes great joy in supervising undergraduate and graduate student research projects, and providing advice to other doctors on performing their own clinical research.
