Coping with ADHD as an adult can be a challenge, especially when you are looking for resources. In this article, I’ll look at ADDitude Magazine, which contains a wealth of resources for adults with ADHD on their website and in the magazine itself.

Like ADHD Australia, ADDitude Magazine provides resources for children, adults and families who are coping with ADD and ADHD. The mission of ADDitude Magazine is “to be your most reliable advisor and ally, and a source of inspiration along your path to health and well-being”.

Since 1998, ADDitude Magazine has been fulfilling this mission by providing a resource to millions of people who are coping with ADD and ADHD. Their site is especially helpful for adults with ADHD because they include information about managing ADHD at work, something that’s tough to find when searching online.

In addition, they include many helpful resources to separate fact from fiction and clarify what the symptoms of ADD and ADHD are. One great example is their: [Quiz] ADHD Myth or ADHD Reality? Check the Facts About ADHD / ADD.

This can be useful for adults with ADHD who want to learn more about the condition, as well as medical professionals in general practice situations who would like to better educate themselves.

While they do include an Adult ADHD Self-Test on their site, you should always consult with your doctor for an accurate diagnosis. A diagnosis MUST be made by a properly qualified professional and not on the basis by one’s self using a self tests. Self tests are indicative only but they can also be misleading, so check with your doctor to be sure.
